Junior and senior members of the Advanced Systems Development will provide support to our R&D team for the development of a prefabricated mass timber construction systems in the context of automated manufacturing processes. The main characteristic of this work will be to operate at the intersection of platform-based building construction, parametric design, and digital manufacturing. Team members will work closely with the architecture and software development team to ensure that the company’s solutions enable the design and manufacturing goals. Candidates will be offered the opportunity to grow into leadership positions as the company expands.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Establish the building system development strategy, steps, and versioning
  • Oversee the general platform-based building system development
  • Establish, implement and refine digital manufacturing strategies
  • Work in close collaboration with the design, engineering, manufacturing and software development

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Architecture, Timber Engineering or related areas
  • Experience in one of the following: timber construction, manufacturing, façade engineering
  • Understanding of engineering principles
  • An excellent communicator and natural leader who listens, distills and communicates with clarity
  • Data-focused with an outstanding attention to detail, highly organized and rigorous
  • Creative mind who can think and implement beyond the status quo

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s in Engineering, Architecture, Timber Engineering or related areas
  • Experience with digital manufacturing such as CNC and robotics
  • Experience with computational design processes
  • Experience with mechanical systems design
  • Experience with construction management or simulation
  • Experience with construction and assembly processes of mass timber buildings
  • Able to handle multiple initiatives while meeting all deadlines
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance that values learning and a commitment to quality
