Process and Manufacturing Management

We are looking for junior or senior members for the process development and logistics management of our own manufacturing facility to be established in 2020. The main responsibilities will include the development of factory layouts, material workflows, logistical partnerships and manufacturing capabilities for our “Platforms for Life” mass timber building system. The successful candidate will work closely with the software and hardware R&D teams in order to coordinate the required functionality of the facility and recommend changes and adjustments. The successful candidate will assist in establishing hiring profiles for our manufacturing staff and manage a growing, research-oriented facility. Experience in automation, factory management or timber manufacturing are desired.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee or assist in manufacturing process development
  • Oversee or assist in logistics development and management
  • Work in close collaboration with the research and development teams
  • Oversee or assist in the plant development
  • Test and monitor plant processes
  • Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports, maintain all administrative records
  • Control costs to achieve company budget goals
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing operations
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants
  • Able to lead root cause analysis investigations
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Able to explain training material to operating staff
  • Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experienced in timber manufacturing processes
  • Background in timber construction but with a deep interest in technology and innovation
