The project is a new community hub for the UBC Dairy Research Centre in Agassiz BC. The project offers quality faculty and student housing in addition to common social, research and infrastructure spaces, arranged around a common courtyard to create a vibrant community. A carefully calibrated combination between simplicity and efficiency together with a more varied organization and artful expression subtly connect the building to its rural context and the diversity of people to each other. Off-site pre fabrication and full pre-construction design integration ensured a low-budget, on time, trouble free, low risk project delivery.
